A Day In The Yard       
      
Sun rises
Grass brightens
Bugs buzz
Blooms open
       
Breezes waft
Weather warms
Robins tweet
Sparrows repeat
       
Cats prowl
Mice hide
Hounds sleep
Shadows creep
       
Leaves rustle
Shadows stretch
Skies darken
Clouds blush              
       
Fireflies flicker
Crickets chirpMoon beams               
Horizon gleams              
                      
Streetlights glow
Vagrants go              
Pitbulls sneer      
Racoons appear

    Oh, I like this. I like this a lot. The last stanza, especially. I'm not particularly fond of pitbulls but the image really sticks.
